You'll love North Wales because it offers almost everything your heart could desire. Okay, I admit it isn’t Disneyland and it’s not Las Vegas either. But be fair! I said we have almost everything, remember? No place on Earth is 100% perfect for everybody but I promise you this wonderful country comes closer to being perfect than any other place I know.

Let me ask you a question: when you're choosing somewhere to live full-time, or somewhere to visit for a day or maybe a week or a fortnight, or even somewhere to spend a few years at university, what do want from that place?

Let's look at some of the options . . .

Natural beauty? North Wales has mountains, valleys, lakes, rivers, woodland and beaches in abundance. And don't forget the sea. We have the beautiful Menai Strait and quite a bit of the Irish Sea too.

Historic buildings? Ancient monuments? We have more castles than you can shake a stick at. I can think of ten major ones and there are a handful of minor ones too. They're all worth seeing. As for standing stones, burial chambers and the like - they're all over the place.

Magic? This ancient and mystical land is a traditional home to countless magicians, witches and wizards. Even the legendary Merlin was a Welshman. Whatever your interest in magic and mystery, I promise we have more than enough to keep you spellbound.

Sports? You name it and we've got it: golf, skiing, sea fishing, coarse fishing, flying, sailing, swimming, diving, surfing, windsurfing, horse racing, motor racing, cycling, mountaineering, walking, climbing, backpacking and lots and lots of other stuff too.

Perhaps you're a keep-fit fanatic? An adrenalin junkie? If so, this green and pleasant land was made for you!

Relaxation? Ah, now there’s a good idea. We have miles and miles of beautiful beaches. The Isle of Anglesey has dozens and no less than 26 of them have won awards for excellence. There are some stunning beaches on the Lleyn Peninsula too.

Had enough sand and sea? No problem! When you’ve shaken the sand from your shoes, we’ve got no end of lakes, rivers, valleys and mountains for you to peruse at your leisure. The Snowdonia National Park has 100 lakes and almost as many mountains.

Eating and Drinking? We've got some great pubs and restaurants and, if you overdo things and don't want to drive back to your holiday cottage, guest house or caravan, we’ve got great hotels too.

Whatever you want, you'll find it here. Whether you want to work, rest or play, you won’t find a better place to do it.
